Just a few years ago I was doing workouts at home by myself. None of my friends were into health and fitness so I had no idea what it was like to be surrounded with others who loved it just as much.
I wasn’t the typical college student. I worked 30 hours a week while going to school full time. I was working a pt job and raising a baby my senior year of college. This little baby became my number one priority. I gave up everything for my son. Then I had my daughter 5 years later and I essentially started over. I forgot what I liked, I no longer had hobbies and I lost my sense of identity.
I was a mom and then a wife and that was it. I became someone else and didn’t even recognize myself. I lost my silliness and sense of humor because I felt like I had to be the “grown up” at all times. Something was definitely missing from my life.
But one day I was introduced to this amazing community of people who not only loved to workout (or maybe they just loved how they felt after 😉) but who were positive and uplifting, who told me that I could be so much more than “just a mom”, that it was ok to be me and do what I love doing.
This little thing called Beachbody coaching introduced me to so many people near and far. I am able to connect with them daily via social media and every four months we get together at live events and I feel like I belong to something and I’m not alone. I am encouraged and I encourage others to dream big and serve others. I am motivated and I motivate others every day to workout and eat healthy because I have the support from people just like the ones in this picture.
As you can see from this picture we are all different sizes and ages. Some are moms and some aren’t. Some are dads and some are just here supporting their spouse. But one thing we all have in common is that we believe in the power of community. We know how important it is to have support in your life, to surround yourself with others who lift you up, who tell you that you CAN when you think you can’t and who help you dream a little bigger.
Oh and I got to take this cutie with me! This is how mamas build fitness businesses 😍
